Epic Tattoos Guildford provides tattoos, body piercings, custom designs, fine line work, and professional aftercare guidance, with a focus on safety, hygiene, and personalised service. We accept walk-ins and appointments for both tattoos and piercings.

General Questions

1. Do I need an appointment or do you accept walk-ins?
- We accept both appointments and walk-ins. Some days and most weekends get busy, so we recommend booking in advance—especially for larger tattoos or piercings.


2. Where are you located?
- Epic Tattoos is based in Guildford, Surrey. We are on the 2nd floor of the Epic Barbers Building. We are easily accessible from the town centre with nearby parking.

 

3. How do I book a tattoo or piercing?
- You can book tattoo consultations through our website, Instagram, calling the studio or by popping in. Consultations are free of charge. 

Deposits are required to secure actual tattoo sessions. 

Piercings can be booked and paid for directly on the website.

4. How much will my tattoo/piercing cost?
- Pricing depends on size, detail, placement, style & colours.
- To get a quote please constact us via the website, instagra  pieces are quoted individually during consultation.

- Piercing prices are all on our website. 

 

5. Do you offer piercings?
- Yes! Our professional piercers offer a full range of ear, facial, and body piercings using sterile, high-quality jewellery.

6. Is the studio clean and safe?
- Absolutely. We follow strict UK hygiene standards, use single-use needles, disposable equipment where possible, and maintain hospital-grade sterilisation.

7. Do you take card payments?-

- Yes—card + contactless accepted. Deposits can be paid via a Bank Transfer or Pay Link that we can provide.  

 

8. What is your cancellation policy?

- Deposits are non-refundable but can be moved with 36 hours' notice.

 

9. Is Epic Tattoos good for first-timers?

- Yes. We’re known for being friendly, patient, and welcoming to first-timers for both tattoos and piercings.

Tattoo Questions

1. Does getting a tattoo hurt?
- Pain levels vary depending on placement and personal tolerance. Areas like ribs, ankles, and wrists are more sensitive, while arms and thighs are easier for most people. We have numbing spray that can be used on the day to reduce the pain.

2. Can I bring my own tattoo design?
- Yes! Bring references, sketches, or ideas. Our artists can refine it into a tattoo-ready design.

3. Can you design something custom for me?
- 100%. We specialise in custom tattoo designs. Your artist will work with you to create something unique that suits your style and body shape.

4. What styles do you specialise in?
- Our artists cover all styles. 

5. How old do I need to be for a tattoo 
- Tattoos: 18+ only (UK law, ID required).

6. How should I prepare for my tattoo?
- Eat well, stay hydrated, avoid drinking alcohol the night before, moisturise the area, and avoid tanning.

7. What aftercare do you recommend?
- We give detailed aftercare instructions at your appointment. In general:
•    Keep the area clean
•    Avoid swimming, sunbeds, and heavy sweating
•    Apply a thin layer of recommended cream
•    Don’t pick or scratch

8. What if my tattoo needs a touch-up?
- We offer touch-ups once your tattoo is fully healed.  Tattoos can take anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks to heal.  

 

9. Do you offer cover-ups?

- Yes. Bring/Send photos of the existing tattoo and we’ll let you know what’s possible. 

10. Do you do tattoo removals?

We don’t currently offer laser removal.

11. Can I get tattooed or pierced while pregnant or breastfeeding?

No—this is against industry guidance for your safety.

12. How do I choose the right tattoo artist?

- Look at their portfolio and pick someone whose style matches what you want. We encourage consultations.

13. Are fine-line tattoos long-lasting?

- Fine-line tattoos can soften quicker, especially on high-movement areas. We’ll advise you on placement to ensure longevity.

Piercing Questions

1. How old do I need to be for a piercing?
- Standard ear piercings are allowed from 13+, Nose, Lip, Eyebrow, Navel, Dermal & Surface piercings 16+, Intimate piercings from 18+

- Parental consent is needed for any piercings below 18.

2. What jewellery do you use?
- We use implant-grade titanium, ideal for safe healing and sensitive skin. We can also order Gold jewellery with notice. There will be a small extra charge for the Gold Jewellery.

3. How long does a piercing take to heal?
- Ear Lobes: 6–8 weeks, Ear Cartilage (helix, conch, tragus, rook, daith): 3–12 months, Nostril Piercing: 2–4 months, Septum: 6–8 weeks, Navel (Belly Button): 6–12 months Eyebrow: 2–3 months, Lip / Labret: 6–8 weeks, Tongue: 4–6 weeks, Nipple: Female: 9–12 months, Male: 4–6 months

4. Can I change my jewellery early?
- No. Jewellery should only be changed once fully healed to avoid irritation or infection.
